In the words of the President of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, “Obedience may be costly but the end result is priceless.”
Obedience to God may cost you your time, resources, finances,… you name it ; but eventually, you are better for it. In our world today, you often hear people complain about lack of time for certain activities; in fact, time gets blamed a lot when things are not done at all or don’t get properly done.
Job 36:11 says, “If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. ”
God promises us prosperity and pleasures when we obey him. You may be wondering what exactly am I supposed to obey when I don’t know how to hear from God. That may be a genuine worry but bear in mind that the Word of God (Bible) is the voice of God in print. So, it would be great to start from that point. Look through the scriptures, not just for blessings to proclaim but for instructions to obey like it’s stated in our scripture reading for today.
Truth is, when we get busy for God, He takes care of other time wasters on our behalf; such that we don’t have time for sicknesses, accidents, failures, and even death. This song aptly sums up this post.
The choice on what to invest your time in is yours dear one, I pray you choose right.
Have a thoroughly blessed week ahead.
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
