Hello,

Welcome to the last week of the month of March, I hope we are all excited and expectant of the new month of April.

Today’s meditation is taken from Luke 12:41-48. It is a parable that talks about preparedness and excellent living. We should never be caught unprepared in any situation that we find ourselves as we live for God and for the greater glory He is setting before us. God provides different opportunities for us at unknown times, we cannot control that but what we can control is how we prepare, getting ready for whatever it is God is setting up for us.

For example, if you want to change jobs, you don’t have to wait until you get an interview scheduled before you start preparing for the type of career you desire. You need to start getting ready in a way that if an opportunity presented itself today, you will shine boldly through it and you will not be found lacking. We all have different goals in our lives that we want to achieve, spiritual, financial, health, the list goes on. However, like the Bible says in Ecc 9:10, whatever you find now, do it diligently and the blessing in that is that it prepares you for success and for so much more like in the parable of the talents (Matt 25:14-30).

Faith and trust in God propel us to live ready for what God has planned for us. Our faith in God will help us through the circumstances and challenges we are faced with that want to hinder us from living ready. Those situations and people surrounding us that want us to choose mediocrity over excellence. But, our faith and trust in God will strengthen us to live a life deserving of His love (Rev 19:7).

So, whatever it is you are trusting God for, start planning for it, prepare yourself for it. It can come anytime and when it does, do you want to be met ready or lacking?
