Hello, Amazing people,

A happy new month and a Happy Easter! Welcome to your month of greater heights. I hope you had a restful weekend.

On today’s #MeditationMonday, we will be talking in parables. We are taking our reference from Matthew 18:12 NIV “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?” I dare to say this is a very popular story from the bible that is known to all. It is an illustration of God’s love and desire for all to be saved. The usual narrative of this verse always focuses on the lost sheep, I mean, it is called the Parable of the Lost Sheep for a reason. However, today, I would like to also spotlight the 99 that were left on the hills.

As the title reads, I believe this parable is one of love and trust. It not only illustrates the insurmountable love of God for those that are yet to be saved, but it also illustrates God’s trust in those that he has called. It is a huge responsibility, I know. Are you going to live up to that trust? The shepherd left the 99 to go after the 1, not because he didn’t care about them but because he trusts and believes that they will not wander off. He knows that they are his and he won’t lose them. Can God trust you to carry out his work the way he has instructed you to?

The story described two types of people, the saved and the lost. I don’t know which side you fall on but wherever you are in your journey, God loves you! And as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ this week, ponder on that love. A love, so great that a man would give his only son for our sins. A son he loved and trusted to accomplish this great task. No matter who you are or what you’ve done, God loves you the same. His love does not fade or diminish and he can trust you too like the 99. So, embrace that love during this resurrection season and let your relationship with God evolve into one of trust.

Lord Jesus, we thank you for your unending love for all, for the 1 and the 99. Let us experience that love and trust in special ways this month, Amen!

God bless,

Dasola
