Happy Easter, everyone!

I hope you all take some quality time in this resurrection season to spend time with God and family. He is risen! And in the same light, may all things dead in our lives, homes, and careers, jack back to life in Jesus name, Amen!

So, today, I am reviewing a short episode, about 30 minutes long, from the Better Together TV program. Better Together is a Christian TV program made by women for women that airs on TBN, but you can also catch the series on their YouTube channel. Although it is made by women, I believe the stories and lessons shared are relatable to all.

In the episode I am reviewing today, titled Learn to Depend on God, five women sat together to discuss ways they take the limits off of God. We all tend to put God in a box, thinking we know God and the extent of his power and that we can help him do his work. In this episode, these women shared wonderful lessons that I believe we can all apply in our lives and daily walk with God.

One of the speakers, Christine Caine, said a lot of things that were illuminating. One of the ways she takes the limits off God is by, literally, putting 1 Corinthians 2:9 and Isaiah 55:8-9 into practice.

“However, as it is written: What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those who love him”

1 corinthians 2:9

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

isaiah 55:8-9

When she has an amazing idea, ministers to thousands at a massive conference, or just simply does something magnificent, she takes some time to pause and be in the moment to simply remind herself of those bible verses. Since her eyes have seen this great thing or she has been able to imagine this great idea, then she has not even scratched the surface of what God has planned for her life because that is exactly what the bible says, eyes have not seen, neither has it entered the heart of man. So, immediately she reminds herself that God can do more, and she consciously removes every limitation of God and his wonders her achievements might bring because it comes naturally.

In the same way, these bible verses apply to this Minister of God, so do they apply to you. So, I ask you, what practical steps do you take to take the limits off of God? Please watch the episode, it is really short and powerful. I hope you will be blessed by it.

Some other key takeaways for me:

  • God diminishes your resources from where he gets the glory. We see this in the story of Gideon where God practically left him with the smallest resources to accomplish his work
  • If you want a miracle, be willing to do something crazy that no one understands just like the woman with the issue of blood that thought just touching the hem of Jesus’ garment would heal her
  • We are always praying to God, asking him to do his part but are we willing to do ours?
  • Everything God does is for His glory
  • You take the limits off of God the more you walk with him

God’s blessings,
