Hello Amazing Reader,
It’s the last Monday in October. Isn’t God great! I pray the last few days of the month (and year) will yield a great harvest of blessings to you, in Jesus name.
As a believer, what’s your typical response to a challenge? Whether an unpleasant news or a situation beyond your immediate control. Does it affect your disposition and you suddenly lose your joy. If this describes how you respond, you’re letting the devil have his way.The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy; John 10:10. That’s his forever mission. Stealing your joy is only a part of his plan. Please don’t let him.
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly
John 10:10 (NKJV)
Even when situations don’t go the way you expect, you can choose joy. When you do so, you’re acting contrary to the devil’s expectations, thereby stopping his operations. Look at it this way. God only operates in a joyful environment. When you are joyful, you attract His presence. His presence with you shows you the way out of the situation. Even if the result doesn’t immediately manifest, you are sure that have secured God’s intervention.
The opposite is the case when you choose worry and a sad countenance. God cannot operate in such an environment. Even though He loves you and wants the best for you, your disposition makes Him handicapped. But, for the devil, worry, anxiety, sadness makes room for him and that’s his plan.
Also, joy is a fruit of the Spirit. That is, it is the Spirit of God in you that produces joy. The unbeliever cannot have true and lasting joy because they don’t have the Holy Spirit.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law
gALATIANS 5:22-23 (NKJV)
If you are yet to give your life to Jesus, this is your cue to do so right now. Jesus wants you saved.
Please say this prayer :
Dear Jesus, I welcome you into my heart as my Lord and personal saviour. I confess that I am a sinner in need of your salvation. Thank you for dying for me. I acknowledge the price you paid for my sins. Please make me your child from today. Help me serve you all the days of my life, in Jesus name.
Congratulations!! You are now a child of God. The first type of joy you’ll experience is the joy of salvation by the Holy Spirit. Please guard it jealously. If you are already saved, you also need to do the same- guard your joy jealously.
Choose to embrace joy no matter the circumstances.
Have a joyful day and week!
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
