A couple of years ago, my pastor was being transferred to another location. While handing over to his successor, he made this illustration that left an indelible mark on my mind.

He said our lives as believers can be likened to a building. And just like a building requires various skilled artisans at intervals, that’s the same way God brings people/ opportunities in and out of our lives. At some point, it’s the mason on site, at another point it’s the electrician fixing wires and connecting to the right source, to ensure the building doesn’t lack electricity supply. The plumber also comes in to fix the water supply. And on and on it goes until the building is completed.

It does resonate right? So when things seem out of control, and you don’t seem to understand what is going on, recognize that you’re most likely due for another season and God is simply shaking things up, and getting you set for your next levels. There is a caveat though, you are only certain this applies when you are a lover of God. As long as you are a lover of God, things are bound to work together for your good. This includes those that events that look like the devil particularly put in your way; God has a way of working these things out to ensure they work for your good.

Romans 8:28 (TPT) states, “So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.”

As you begin the new week, rest assured that All things are working together for your good.
