Welcome to the end of another week! It is the Lord’s doing and it is indeed marvellous in our eyes.

Corper’s Lodge is one of the new series produced by Mount Zion Film Ministry, available on their YouTube Channel. It comprises seven episodes and follows the lives of five main individuals during their National Youth Service.

For you non-Nigerians who are wondering what I’m saying 😊, the National Youth Service is a programme established by the Nigerian government, which graduates are expected to undertake upon completing their first degree. It is a year-long initiative where graduates are deployed mostly away from their familiar environment. For this reason, the common narrative is that young people misuse the freedom they gain through this scheme; they take advantage of their time away from home to engage in despicable activities.

This series not only tells this narrative we are used to, but it also puts a godly perspective on it, packed with so many lessons. One of the main takeaways for me is the fact that we must be spiritually sensitive to opportunities to represent God on a larger scale/platform, and the question is, will you be prepared for it, or will you misrepresent Christ when it matters? The weekend is upon us, so if you haven’t seen it, it is the perfect series to unwind with over the weekend.
