Hello Amazing Reader,

Last weekend (June 15), we celebrated Father’s Day in most parts of the world. It was great to see people share pictures of their dads, husbands, spiritual fathers, grandfathers, foster dads, and other father figures. Most of the photos were shared with thoughtful notes, and it was indeed a beautiful sight. But, is that all there is to Father’s Day? I don’t believe so.

Father’s Day celebration may be once in a year, but fatherhood itself is a lifelong responsibility.

In the latest episode of Seasons Podcast, our guest, Mr Gideon Ohioze, the Executive Director of Value Added Fatherhood Academy (VAFA), spoke passionately about the subject of fatherhood. He touched on the need for fathers to be more intentional about bringing up their children in the way of the Lord; emphasizing that the spiritual nurturing of children is primarily a father’s responsibility.

Also, he spoke about the connection between fatherhood and leadership, societal values, and shared some mind-boggling statistics about parenting.

If you want to move away from practicing fatherhood by default and would like to be a more present and intentional dad, please listen to this podcast episode. I also encourage you to share with every father you know.

Here’s wishing every father and would-be father in this community, a happy Father’s Day. Praying for God’s wisdom and strength for you to lead your family in the way of the Lord, in Jesus name. Amen!

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
