{"id":1498,"date":"2019-09-09T10:52:54","date_gmt":"2019-09-09T10:52:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/1nebody.com\/staging\/?p=1498"},"modified":"2019-10-14T21:35:16","modified_gmt":"2019-10-14T21:35:16","slug":"responsible-father","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/1nebody.com\/staging\/responsible-father\/","title":{"rendered":"RESPONSIBLE FATHER"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>So here I was, praying about a particular situation and I heard God say to me, &#8220;<em>I am not an irresponsible Father<\/em>. &#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>But God, I didn\u2019t say you were<\/em>&#8230;\u201d I said, attempting to defend myself but that was exactly what my prayer request suggested. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like we don\u2019t particularly beg our earthly parents to\nprovide us with our basic needs, especially when are still dependent on them,\nGod doesn\u2019t expect us to beg Him before He meets our needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">Imagine your 3 year old saying, \u201c<em>Dad, &nbsp;can &nbsp;I please have some water to drink.<\/em>\u201d Now, there\u2019s available water but the father is taking a bit to heat up the water in order to ensure he\u2019s not unduly exposing his son . While the water is heating up, the child is throwing a tantrum and screaming all over the place. No matter how hard he cries, his father knows not to halt the process simply because the child is crying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s exemplary of our relationship with God. Sometimes we\ncry, wail and scream at God asking for particular requests;&nbsp; but, He knows not to halt the process just because\nwe are crying. He knows we will eventually be better off when we wait through\nthe process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Matthew 6: 25-34<\/strong> reminds us that God, our Father isn\u2019t oblivious of our needs.But, we must trust Him by obediently following through what He\u2019s asked of us.
