{"id":2022,"date":"2019-10-14T19:32:50","date_gmt":"2019-10-14T19:32:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/1nebody.com\/staging\/?p=2022"},"modified":"2019-10-14T21:52:25","modified_gmt":"2019-10-14T21:52:25","slug":"the-power-of-expectation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/1nebody.com\/staging\/the-power-of-expectation\/","title":{"rendered":"THE POWER OF EXPECTATION"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">The Merraim Webstar Dictionary defines expectation as \u201c<em>a belief that something will happen or is likely\nto happen.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Recently, I read a material that made me understand better,\nthe power of expectation. The author stated that many times we express our\ndesires to God in prayer but once our supplications are bereft of expectations,\nGod is not committed to answering such prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<strong>Proverbs 23:18 (KJV)<\/strong> says, \u201c<em>For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.\u201d<\/em> &nbsp;This can be interpreted to mean, as long as your expectation is in place, you are sure to see the end of that situation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may be wondering, is there a difference between faith and expectation? Wouldn\u2019t just my faith suffice? Truth is, if there was no place for expectation, God wouldn\u2019t demand it of us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking cue from farmers, it&#8217;s not difficult to know when they are expecting a bumper harvest. They make room in their barns and other storage points. Even if it means expanding what they initially had. It might not make sense to onlookers, but they don\u2019t mind going all out to ensure their expected harvest doesn\u2019t catch them napping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I imagine you\u2019ve been praying, maybe even fasting on certain issues but is your expectation in place?
