Reading through Our Daily Bread devotional of Saturday 17th<\/sup> July, The Holy Spirit helped me understand 2 Corinthians 2:14-17<\/strong> in an entirely different light. The passion translation states, \u201cGod always makes his grace visible in Christ, who includes us as partners of his endless triumph. Through our yielded lives he spreads<\/em> <\/em><\/sup>the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere we go. We<\/em> <\/em><\/sup>have become the unmistakable aroma of the victory of the Anointed One to God\u2014a perfume of life to those being saved and the odor of death to those who are perishing. The unbelievers smell a deadly stench that leads to death, but believers smell the life-giving aroma that leads to abundant life. And who of us can rise to this challenge?<\/em> <\/em><\/sup> <\/em><\/sup><\/strong>For unlike so many, we are not peddlers<\/em> <\/em><\/sup>of God\u2019s Word who water down the message. We are those sent from God with pure motives, who speak in the sight of God from our union with Christ<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Just like we wear perfumes that others can\nperceive and sometimes can identify what brand we\u2019re wearing, so it is with us\nas believers. We are a perfume of life to those that are being saved, and the\nodor of death to those who are perishing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n God has designed our lives to be a fragrance of God\u2019s knowledge. Wherever we go, people should be able to perceive that unmistakable aroma of Christ through us.
