What do you do those times when you don\u2019t have the words to say to God, especially in recent times in Nigeria, where it has just been too much? Everything coming together to make you complain and grumble, I have learnt that a complaining tongue more times is a step away from deviating from God\u2019s will. James clearly stated that \u201cthe testing of our faith, produces patience\u201d- James 1:3-4,<\/strong> but only if we let patience develop in us (have its perfect work), then we would be mature and complete and all that God wants us to be. Almost all of us stumble in our words, if you don\u2019t you are perfect and in full control of your body (James 3:2<\/strong>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n If like me, you stumble in your words, how do you deal with it? I find worship as such a great outlet to change my words from complaining to praising God in the same breath. I always have songs playing around me, because it reminds me of what I am supposed to use my breath to do – Praise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At every given time, I have a new favourite song, this song has been my favourite since I heard my Pastor play it late last year. It is written by Brandon Lake, Dante Bowe and Ben Hastings (powerful ministers and writers) expressing their gratitude to a God that gives us everything. What do you give a God that gives us His all at all points, without ceasing and consistently, in spite of ourselves? Brandon perfectly captures it, when he says –<\/p>\n\n\n\n All my words fall short I could sing these\nsongs These lines get my heart bowed down and exalting God, how do we capture the depth of the grace of God. We are all here, but by the grace of God, when the songs end, when the service closes, when the sermon is done, God is still there, right in our midst. When our personal lives are challenging, when our workload is overwhelming, when everything is going right and when everything is going wrong, what should our response be? Well brother Brandon Lake says, our response should be –<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSo I throw up my hands May we all\nbe singing hallelujah through it all, may our hearts be filled with joy\nunspeakable and the glory of God, may our lips be filled with rejoicing, may we\nbe filled with gratitude for all God has done, will do and is doing and above\nall, may our hearts and tongues be yielded totally to the will and praise of\nGod in Jesus name, Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
