Welcome to the month of perfection. May the Lord perfect everything that concerns you in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen. Today, we have a divine word from Victoria that will challenge you to view your situation differently. I encourage you to read on with a ready heart to receive from God the word you need for the second half of the year. I pray it blesses you and fires you up, in Jesus name, Amen.

Within and around me, I have sensed a tension of some sort, everyone seems to be worried or anxious about something. It feels so palpable and then I realised that the year is getting to the halfway point, so we are all analysing our goals and seemingly falling short in our eyes. So, while reading and meditating on Stephen’s great sermon (a wonderful summary of the bible) before he was stoned, I saw something that made me pause in Acts 7:20-22;

Acts of the Apostles 7:20 & 22 NLT

[20] “At that time Moses was born—a beautiful child in God’s eyes. His parents cared for him at home for three months… [22] Moses was taught all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was powerful in both speech and action.”

God saw Moses as a beautiful child in his eyes, a powerful man in both speech and action from his youth. Does this mean that God has a different perception of our lives and activities, and does not judge our journey by our errors the way we do? God tried to call Moses to save the people of Israel in Exodus 3 and 4:10-12 and had to convince him to go. Why? Moses saw himself as not being a great orator. For him he was not good enough to be used by God. For God – he was perfect from youth!

I have been thinking and asking myself these questions;

Is the way I see myself, stopping me from seeing and becoming God’s best for me?

Can I believe I am worth more than my perceived limitations?

What within me holds me back from accepting God’s view of me, is it pride? Fear? Unbelief?

Let’s pause and honestly probe our hearts (2 Corinthians 10:12). Selah!

God already saw Moses as perfect when he was a baby. 80 years later, Moses was a murderer, a fugitive, and married to an ‘unbeliever’– by the standards of how we judge things, he was not living nor aligned to God’s purpose. God’s view of Moses had not changed, instead, He had used the journey to refine Moses. God’s view of us is consistent and has not changed! Embrace God’s view of you and your journey, Vicky! (Insert your own name)

There is something I am learning in my journey with God, as long as I walk with God, I can NEVER be off track. When the bible says He causes all things to work together for our good, it means exactly that!

Romans 8:28 AMPC

[28] “We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.”

Re-read that verse again, we are partnering with God every day with our journeys. People saw David, Rahab and Moses’ mistakes, God saw their hearts and aligned their labour to His will. The greatest part, Stephen recorded that –

Acts of the Apostles 7:35 NLT

[35] “So God sent back the same man his people had previously rejected when they demanded, ‘Who made you a ruler and judge over us?’ Through the angel who appeared to him in the burning bush, God sent Moses to be their ruler and savior.”

Moses’ journey was to bring him to be a salvation of the people of Israel, your journey is the same. God is and has aligned your journey. You are not off track, you are steadily inching on your journey to your purpose, you will understand the missteps and the refining when you get there.

You are not late, there is no such thing as that! Today rise up, look at yourself in the mirror and adjust your posture to that of a King, let the King in you arise. Have you seen when those praise singers, start to say someone’s Oriki (a Yoruba traditional praise poem)? The person sits up as the meaning filters into their subconscious. In that same way, sit up and go again, God is cheering you with the host of angels.

He is saying, the stumble on the journey is part of the process, see yourself through my eyes, my beloved.

Prayer

Open my eyes, help me believe I am what you see!
