I’m so sorry for the delay in sharing this post. Welcome to December! Praise God for His goodness and mercies to us in the past eleven months of the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this last month, I pray you experience crowning blessings and that your paths drop fatness, in Jesus name. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At this time of the year, you tend to hear lots of sermons on the importance of thanksgiving and praise, that it almost becomes cliche. In fact, there might be a chance of zoning out at church or just going with the flow of the activities without realizing the actual need to give God thanks.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thanksgiving and praise can include singing songs of adoration to God, dancing, or testifying about the goodness of God. The focus of this post is the power of testimonies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cI will sing of the mercies of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\nPsalm 89:1 (KJV)<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Making known God\u2019s faithfulness means testifying of His goodness. Has it occurred to you that when we are seeking God\u2019s intervention about a situation, we share it almost everywhere and with everyone, so they can pray with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But as soon as God comes through, we want to be \u2018careful\u2019 about who we share it with or where we share it. One of my pastors said this sometime ago and I realized that I had been guilty of doing that. We become suddenly wary of those who might have negative thoughts towards us. Meanwhile, it\u2019s all a ploy of the devil to make us cover our testimonies. When we testify, God is glorified, the saints are encouraged, and our testimonies multiply in the lives of others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you take some time to reflect on the past months, you will know beyond every doubt that God has been faithful to you. Can you document these? You can take it a step further by testifying about these\u2014if you are not comfortable facing a large crowd, maybe send it in as a written testimony, or consider testifying in a small group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whichever you decide, please don\u2019t gloss over God\u2019s faithfulness. Maybe you feel you\u2019re yet to have answers to your prayer requests from the beginning of the year. But, has it occurred to you that God’s silence might be an answer in itself. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the words of Bishop David Oyedepo, \u201cIf you can think, you will know how to thank.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you haven\u2019t identified as a child of God, that\u2019s a good place to begin before you get into thanksgiving. God already loves you and gave up His son for you to have eternal life. If you haven\u2019t accepted Him, please say this prayer:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
