I pray it will be a remarkable month for us all, in Jesus name, Amen! We will end the year well in Jesus name, Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the voice of Papa, Bishop David Oyedepo, Caution! Caution!! Caution!!! I am sure you are wondering what this is about. I was reading through Ezekiel 25 last week, and the prophecy against Ammon in verses 1 to 7 was so profound and showed me God doesn\u2019t joke with His name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Verses 3-4 in NIV say;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSay to them, \u2018Hear the word of the Sovereign Lord. This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you said \u201cAha!\u201d <\/strong>over my sanctuary when it was desecrated and over the land of Israel when it was laid waste and over the people of Judah when they went into exile, therefore I am going to give you to the people of the East as a possession. They will set up their camps and pitch their tents among you; they will eat your fruit and drink your milk.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The EASY version reads;<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSay to them, \u201cListen to this message from the Almighty Lord. This is what he says: You shouted happily<\/strong> when enemies made my holy place unclean. You were happy when the land of Israel became an empty place. And you were happy when Judah’s people went away as prisoners to a foreign country. So listen to me! I will give you to the people in the east to be their slaves. Their soldiers will come and they will put their tents among you. They will live among you. They will eat your fruit and they will drink your milk.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Did you see that? Isn\u2019t that just something? God is going to punish the Ammonites because they celebrated the downfall of Israel, and they laughed at the desecrations made to the temple. The NIV used the word \u201cAha,\u201d which is an exclamation used to express satisfaction, triumph or surprise according to the Google dictionary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Let\u2019s now bring that into today\u2019s context. The fact that a man of God has fallen doesn\u2019t mean he is or was not called, and doesn\u2019t mean God will not defend His name. Now you can understand why my message to you today is, Caution! In a culture we have today where people are easily cancelled, we must be careful not to jump on the bandwagon or follow the trend of insulting or making fun of men of God who have made mistakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n From the word \u201cAha\u201d I defined earlier, we see that it’s not just making fun of people who lost their way, it could also be\u00a0satisfaction from being judgmental, the \u201cI told you so\u201d or \u201cI knew it\u201d holier-than-thou attitude. Again, caution! If there\u2019s one thing I have learnt about God\u2019s character, it is that He defends His name. Everything God does isn\u2019t because we did anything spectacular; it is for His name\u2019s sake. Sin doesn\u2019t invalidate the anointing on someone\u2019s life. We see it with David and Saul. David said God forbid that I do this to the Lord\u2019s anointed. At the end of the day, it is God you are indirectly referring to. Let’s be careful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you would like to exercise this caution and come to Christ,\u00a0please repeat the prayer below.<\/p>\n\n\n\nDear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus' name. Amen.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
