I hope you are well and you\u00a0enjoyed a\u00a0restful weekend. I pray that the new week delivers God’s goodness and mercies to you,\u00a0your family,\u00a0and all that pertains to you in\u00a0Jesus\u00a0name.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We had a good time at the 1nebody Book Club over the weekend, and one of the lessons that resonated from our conversation was Philippians 2:13: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nfor it is God who works in you both to will and to do for\u00a0His<\/em>\u00a0good pleasure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure. (Amplified\u00a0Bible)\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
As humans,\u00a0we’re\u00a0generally quick\u00a0to give ourselves\u00a0credit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI never miss church.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I always keep my time of fellowship with God.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I’ve\u00a0been walking with God for X\u00a0number\u00a0of years.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We\u00a0often forget that all what we claim we did was by the help of God. This\u00a0doesn’t\u00a0apply to spiritual things alone. It impacts all aspects of our lives. For example, “I studied hard for the exam, I\u00a0don’t\u00a0know why my results are this way” or\u00a0\u201c I\u00a0worked hard on that role, yet,\u00a0I was laid off.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Can you\u00a0think about it for a moment? Everything you give yourself credit\u00a0for,\u00a0wasn’t\u00a0because of you. It was the help of God that made it possible<\/strong>. Yes, you had an input, but if God\u00a0didn’t\u00a0bless that input, it would have amounted to nothing.\u00a0Psalm 127:1<\/strong>\u00a0also confirms this, <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cUnless the LORD builds the house,\u00a0They\u00a0labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
So,\u00a0my charge to you today\u00a0is\u00a0that you always\u00a0return the\u00a0glory\u00a0to\u00a0God for everything. He is the One who provides the will to do the right\u00a0thing\u00a0and\u00a0also\u00a0enables you to do it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you are not yet born again,\u00a0you’d\u00a0agree that\u00a0there’s\u00a0only as much your will has accomplished so far. Why not invite God into the\u00a0drivers\u2019 seat\u00a0of your life? Let Him help you live for Him.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus' name. Amen. <\/pre>\n\n\n\n
