Hello Amazing One,

Welcome to the second half of 2022; your winning half. During the 1nebody book club session last weekend (why haven’t you joined our community 😀 ), we asked participants which song best described the first half of the year for them. It was interesting to hear the various songs people shared. We would like to hear yours too. Please do share in the comments.

Today, God is speaking to us on the power of expectations. What do you expect to receive in this half? Do you see yourself having a winning half indeed? I hope you are not one of those that live by the mantra que sera sera (whatever will be, will be).

As a believer, your expectations fuel your reality. Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) states, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”

From this scripture, it is evident that our prayers (verbalized through asking) and thoughts are equally weighted before God. In essence, you can’t be praying about having a wonderful rest of the year, yet your mind is full of negative expectations. Such disparity annuls the effect of your prayer.

In this second half, expect goodness. Expect greatness, expect open heavens. Let your prayers align with your thoughts; and watch God bring them to pass in the fullness of time.
