Hello,
I hope this week has been nothing short of amazing. Following up on our Meditation Monday topic, today’s review is a song by Joshua Mike-Bamiloye that brings a new perspective to the topic. Let’s go!
This was originally a soundtrack to a web series titled House on Fire by the Mount Zion Film Ministry. I like the song because the message of the song can never grow old or be overstated. It is timeless because it touches on issues that we will always be faced with as children of the Most High. Parts of the song say;
We are living in a world that is complicated
The right seems wrong and the wrong seems right, it is complicated…
We are living in a world of countless decisions
Where to go, who to follow, and who to trust…
house on fire
However, the chorus of the song reminds us to choose who we will serve, the world or God. With the noise and chaos in the world, it is very easy to get carried away and forget our identity in Christ Jesus. So, it is imperative that we bury and soak ourselves and everything that concerns us in the word of God to drown out all of these noises and distractions. God has given us the gift of choice, he has placed before us, life and death and it is up to us to choose the living God (Deut 30:15-20).
I hope you are on the living side! If not, I would like you to say this short prayer, “dear Jesus, forgive me. I have been misusing the choices that you have gifted me with. But I am here today and I choose you as the Lord and Saviour of my life. Accept me and lead me on this new journey, in Jesus name, Amen.”
If you said this prayer, welcome to home. Please reach out to us via email, we would love to pray with you and guide you further.
P.S. It is a really nice song with an upbeat rhythm that gets you hooked quite quickly. Enjoy the rest of your week.
God bless you,
