Hello Amazing Reader,

It’s the start of another beautiful week. Praise the Lord for He is good, and His mercy endures forever!

Have you ever thought about the several victories that God has won on your behalf that you didn’t even know about? Many times, we focus on the unanswered expectations and keep asking “God when,” “God how…” We complain and murmur at God, meanwhile, He’s busy working out things for us behind the scenes.

This played out in the journey of the Israelites to the promised land. In Numbers 22, Balak, king of Moab heard that the Israelites would be passing through Moab to the Promised Land. He had also learned about how the Israelites had defeated Og, king of Bashan. To prevent the same experience, Balak thought it would be a good idea to curse the Israelites. He engaged Balaam for this assignment, and three times, Balak raised an altar for Balaam to curse the Israelites (Numbers 22-24), but it was simply impossible to curse them. Balaam made it clear to Balak that the Israelites were already blessed by God.

Mind you, in all of these, the Israelites had no idea about what was going on. They didn’t know God was fighting for them behind the scenes, yet it was one complain after another.

This same people had experienced God’s mighty power while in Egypt. They saw the impact of all the ten plagues God sent against Egypt, and even though they were in the same location, none of it came close to them.

How about when God caused them to go through the Red Sea on dry land (Exodus 13); made the bitter waters sweet for them (Exodus 15); fed them with manna from heaven (Exodus 16), and many more. They had experienced God’s interventions several times, yet they would still murmur and complain at the same God who was defending them without their knowing.

We could easily point fingers at the Israelites as we read their stories in the Bible, but how often do we also complain and murmur when things appear not to be working. Meanwhile, God is working things out for us in ways we may never know about.

The devil wants us to remain short-sighted and focused on things that seem not to be working, but now we know better. God is working things out, and we will no longer give in to complaining or murmuring.

If Jesus is not yet the Lord of your life, this covering may not fully apply to you just yet. However, you can switch camps right now and become a member of the household of God by saying this prayer:

Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Congratulations, you are now a member of God’s family. If you’d like additional information or resources, please contact 1nebodyblog@gmail.com and we’d be delighted to help.

As you go on in this new week, may thanksgiving and praise replace every form of murmuring and complain in your life in Jesus name.

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

Psalm 136:1 (nkjv)

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
