“Everybody is using something. You better hold on to God.” 

I remember hearing my pastor say this several years ago. Being in my teenage years, I didn’t completely understand what he meant.  

As I grew older, and got into different spaces, I began to better understand my pastor’s statement. I have met different people, with different beliefs and spiritual practices. What has shocked me the most is the boldness with which some of them express their beliefs.

There were certain environments where I didn’t expect to see or hear about diabolical practices, because of the calibre of people who were in that space, but to my surprise, it was quite a common experience. 

The truth is that life is entirely spiritual. I don’t mean to sound spooky, but that is what it is. What plays out in the physical world has already been “organized” in the spiritual world. 

See what the Scripture says,

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

EPHESIANS 6:12 (NIV)

Enough of being a laid-back believer. Let this post be your call or reminder to take your walk with God seriously. Let’s take back our homes, families, societies, and business places for Jesus. Let’s live for God as if our lives depend on it, because it does. 

If you are yet to accept Jesus as the Lord of your life, that is where to begin. You shouldn’t continue to live as a victim of life when God has made provision for your victorious living.  

Please say this prayer:  

Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus name.es name. Amen.
