Hello Amazing Reader,
It’s two days to October! Glory be to God for His goodness and mercies towards us since the beginning of the year 👏.
How would you summarize the Bible in one sentence?
Assume you’re speaking to someone who is yet to believe in God, and you need to tell them about the Bible, how would you best describe it in a few words?
Any ideas?
I was at church when the worship leader asked us this question. It got me thinking hard because I had never thought about that before.
“God loves a big family.” That was his answer, and I couldn’t agree more.
From Genesis to Revelation, all that happened was for God to fulfill His primary goal of restoring man to Himself.
For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16 (amp)
God didn’t withhold His only son from mankind but gave Him up so that He could have a big family with members from every tongue, tribe and nation!
1 Tim 2:3-4, “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
Because of the huge sacrifice God made by giving up His son, He wants every person to accept His love and become a member of His family. However, He already played His part by sending His son to die for our sins. When you are saved and have become a part of God’s family, it becomes your responsibility to tell others about your Father and your new family. Not because you have the power to save them, but because the seed must be planted before the Holy Spirit can convict anyone of their sins; 1 Cor. 12: 3
Will you partner with God today to bring others into the family of God? There are many ways to do this: pray, tell, show, invite, give, and many more.
We’ll explore these partnership avenues in our next meditation post. Stay tuned!
If you are not yet a member of God’s family, today is a great day to join in. Becoming a member of the family means accepting that Jesus died for you. Please repeat the prayer below.
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Congratulations, heaven rejoices over you! If you said this prayer and would like additional information/guidance, please send an email to 1nebodyblog@gmail.com.
This week, would you partner with God to bring more people into His family?
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
