Hello Amazing Reader,
Welcome to October once again. I hope the new month has been coming along well for you.
In our last meditation post, we learned about God’s desire for a big family. Today, we’ll be sharing some of the practical ways through which we can introduce others into the family.
- Prayer: Prayer is the foundational requirement for talking to anyone about God’s family. This is because soul winning is a spiritual exercise, and there’s also a spiritual force that wants to keep people in unbelief. It takes the power of prayer to break off this blindfold.
2 Cor 4:4, “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
2. Evangelism: Jesus referred to this as the Great Commission. Every believer has been commissioned by Jesus as a witness to the world.
Matt 28:19 (NKJV), “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”
Soul winning isn’t a gift God gave to only a few believers. It’s a mandate to everyone who professes to be a child of God. Most times, we tend to hold back from witnessing because we don’t know what to say, or how to start off the conversation. Sometimes, it’s even fear of how we will be perceived by the recipient. But all these are Satan’s ways of preventing us from sharing the good news. We don’t have to be able to quote a particular number of scriptures or be a graduate of a Bible college. All we need is to make ourselves available to partner with God. Let Him know you’d like to take up this assignment, but you don’t know how to, and He’ll give you the right words and actions. A little “hello”, a smile, or “Jesus loves you” could be the conversation starter. Start in faith, and you’ll see God take over.
3. Give: We see in the Bible that there were men & women who devoted themselves to supporting Jesus’ ministry. There’s a particular mention of some women in Luke 8:1-3 who took up looking after Jesus as their own ministry. Verse 3 states, “These women were helping to support them out of their own means.”
While Jesus and His disciples went to different places preaching the gospel, these women helped them out of their means.
Did you know you can also support ministries and organizations that are dedicated to spreading the gospel?
It’s true that some false prophets and teachers have abused this. But there are still many genuine ministries across the world that promote the spread of the gospel.
These are some ways through which you can introduce others to God’s family. Whether you choose to start off with one, or you want to explore all three (and more), would you ask God to help you become a fruitful member of His family? God wants more people in His family, and there are several across the world who are yet to become born again.
I can’t close this out without giving you an opportunity to become a member of God’s family. Please, say this prayer:
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Congratulations, heaven rejoices over you! If you said this prayer and would like additional information/guidance, please send an email to 1nebodyblog@gmail.com.
Will you partner with Jesus to introduce others into the family of God, this week?
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
