Hello Amazing Reader,
Happy second week of 2026 😊. Is there a greeting like that? Lol, I just made it up as a way of wishing you God’s best for the second week of the year.
I started reading the book of Romans a few weeks ago, and as I go through the chapters, I’m reminded of why I love it so much. It’s writer, Apostle Paul, does a fantastic job of educating the people in Rome (and by extension today’s believer) about their identity in God.
One of the verses that I’ve been ruminating over is Romans 8:11, let’s examine a few versions:
King James Bible
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
New King James Version
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
New American Standard Bible
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
New International Version
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
New Living Translation
The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
Please can you take a few minutes to read through these translations to thoroughly understand it?
It’s saying, as a believer, the Spirit of God lives in you. The very one that raised Jesus from the grave after being dead and buried for three days.
If that’s the case, it means the following (and more):
- You are unstoppable
- You are supernatural
- You have God in you (i.e. Divine Life)
- You are a victor, not a victim
Examine this scripture carefully, and by the help of the Holy Spirit, determine what this means to you personally. I believe you’ll experience a total mind shift. Hallelujah!
This reality only applies to those who have made Jesus the Lord and Saviour of their lives. If you’re yet to do so, I encourage you not to wait any longer. Divine life is real, and it can be your experience if you choose to surrender to Jesus.
Please say this prayer with faith:
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Congratulations, heaven rejoices over you! If you said this prayer and would like additional information/guidance, please send an email to 1nebodyblog@gmail.com.
Go through the week (and years ahead) with the consciousness that the Spirit of God dwells in you!
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
