God, This is Better

Hello Amazing Reader,

I hope you are well and you enjoyed a restful weekend? I did too, thank God.

Recently, I heard a testimony from the Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Pst Sam Adeyemi. He shared how as a young graduate, he applied to travel from Nigeria to the United Kingdom several times. But, each time he tried, his visa was denied. This happened a few times, until he decided he was done trying, and focused on other things.

Over time, God called him to be a pastor and while pastoring, he was invited to speak in London. This time, his visa was approved with ease. When he arrived in London, someone was waiting to drive him to his hotel. All of these were at no expense to him, because he was invited and his host bore the cost.

He shared that as soon as got into the hotel room, he burst into tears. He couldn’t believe he was in the same city he had tried so hard to get into for many years. Not just that, there was no way he’d have experienced anything close to the hospitality he enjoyed, if he had been successful at his previous attempts.

As he wept, he kept saying, “God, this is better.”

Perhaps, you’ve been hoping and praying to get a breakthrough, but the harder you try, the more difficult it seems. How about you check in with God and ask Him what He’d have you do instead. Possibly, that desire isn’t for this time. If it’s in line with God’s will for your life and you remain in love with God, it’ll come in a bigger and better way than you imagined.

I pray when it happens, you’ll testify like Pst Sam that, “this is better.”

Romans 8:28 (Amplified), “And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.”

Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
