Seeing A New Nation- Pst Sam Adeyemi

Hello Amazing Reader,

Welcome to October. It’s a blessed month for you and yours, in Jesus name!

Today, October 1, 2026, is Nigeria’s 66th Independence. I understand that this might evoke a variety of emotions for Nigerians- gratitude, joy, anger, displeasure, hope, and so on. While your emotions are valid, I invite every Nigerian to listen to this Independence Day message by the lead pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Pastor Sam Adeyemi.

Reading from Ezekiel 36:33-36 (New Living Translation), Pst Sam encourages Nigerians that God is still in the business of rebuilding nations, and that despite how chaotic things might appear, God is still working.

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: When I cleanse you from your sins, I will repopulate your cities, and the ruins will be rebuilt. The fields that used to lie empty and desolate in plain view of everyone will again be farmed. And when I bring you back, people will say, ‘This former wasteland is now like the Garden of Eden! The abandoned and ruined cities now have strong walls and are filled with people!’ Then the surrounding nations that survive will know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruins and replanted the wasteland. For I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will do what I say” Ezekiel 36:33-36 (NLT).

He also cited an example with the Daystar Christian Centre which started about 30 years ago when Nigeria was still in the military era. However, because he saw ahead of the gloomy situation, he planted a church in that season, and it is still standing today.

Pst Sam stresses the importance of seeing well because what you see is what you become. He states that a new Nigeria will be made possible by new Nigerians who see well. Will you be part of those who choose to see well?

In closing, he connects this message with the need for spiritual independence as sin prevents people from sinning.

Listen to this message here. You’d be encouraged.

Once again, have a blessed October!
