One of the several encounters I had at the just concluded Shiloh 2021 was deliverance from the spirit of fear.

In the past couple of weeks, I realized the devil in his usual subtlety was planting seeds of fear in my heart over some issues. During one of Bishop Oyedepo’s ministrations at Shiloh, he said, “There is nothing in the devil or his agents to qualify for your fear.” He further said as long as neither the devil nor his agents can alter the covenant of the day and night, they are not worth being afraid of. What a revelation!

All the devil has and will always have are tricks. He tricks people into fear and once they are caught in that web, he operates as desired. This oppression continues as long as the victim is in fear.

Bishop Oyedepo also mentioned Job as a case in point. He was a blessed man and he feared God. Yet, he lost all because he was fearful. Job 3:25 states, “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”

What does it take to overcome this spirit of fear? We’ll speak about this in next week’s meditation God’s willing.

Meanwhile, the spirit of fear is cursed from your life, and it will no longer have you bound in Jesus name. Amen.
