Maximizing the Person of the Holy Spirit

Hello Amazing Reader,

Welcome to the last week of May. I pray you experience the fullness of God’s presence this week and beyond, in Jesus name.

Yesterday, we celebrated Pentecost at my church, and I think it may have been the same for other Christians across the world.

If you’re wondering what it means and why it is significant, it’s because it marks the day when the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles, just as Jesus had told them. As a result, they began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance; Acts 2.

But it doesn’t end there, this experience birth a new experience for the disciples. For example, Peter, who was previously timid and denied Jesus instantly became a bold witness. He was so bold that he addressed a crowd of 3,000 people and led them to repentance.

Very often, we limit the power of the Holy Spirit to speaking in tongues only, and this is incorrect. The Holy Spirit in us is not only expressed when we speak in other tongues. He can also impact all other aspects of our lives, if we invite Him.

He can help us become bold witnesses, like we saw in Peter; Acts 2:38.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

What aspects of your life do you need the Holy Spirit’s help? He is a well-rounded Spirit. He knows all things and can bring them to your remembrance; John 14:26.

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”

It could be in your parenting, business, career, finances…the list is endless. If you’re a believer and not fully engaging the help of the Holy Spirit, you are doing yourself a disservice.

It’s also important to state that the Holy Spirit is only available to believers. If you haven’t received Jesus into your life, today is a great day to pray this prayer:

Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Now you have access to the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to engage Him in every area of your life.

Have a blessed week.

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
