Hello Amazing Reader,
It’s a beautiful new day and week that the Lord has made; you’ll rejoice and be glad, in Jesus name.
I heard the story of a man who went to see his pastor for prayers because nothing was working for him. Frustrated and angry, he shared with his pastor how he had no job, could barely feed, and so on. Because of these challenges, he concluded by saying nothing was working.
His pastor gave him a sheet of paper, divided by a vertical line. On the left, he asked this man to write down all the challenges he had shared. On the right, the pastor shared some prompts which he asked him to also write down. It included, working eyes, working hands, a healthy brain, lungs, kidney…before long the right side was filled up, and his pastor asked if they could pray together, asking God to exchange what was not working for what was working.
For example, would he prefer not to have a functional brain, but have a job with lots of money? This is not to say we can’t have it all, but many times we are consumed by those things that seem not to be working, forgetting that we have a lot to be grateful for.
As God takes us out of the first half of the year into the second half, let’s choose to be thankful to God for His goodness and mercies to us. Perhaps, some of our desires for the first half are yet to manifest, but it takes a living soul to know that. You’re alive and well; that’s a lot to be grateful to God for!
Can we declare Psalm 136:1-3 (NKJV) together in thanksgiving? Include your name where mine appears in bracket.
Oh, (Dammy) give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
Oh, (Dammy) give thanks to the God of gods!
For His mercy endures forever.
Oh, (Dammy) give thanks to the Lord of lords!
For His mercy endures forever:
Everything is working. Please don’t let the enemy make you think otherwise. And what’s more, you are a son/daughter of the Living God. What a privilege!
If you’re not yet a child of God, don’t pass on this opportunity today. You can welcome Jesus to make His place in your heart, and begin to enjoy all that this new life offers, including righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please say this prayer in faith:
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Congratulations, you’re now a child of God! If you’d like additional information, please send us an email, and we’d be delighted to support you.
Go into the new week with the confident assurance that you have a Father who’s looking after you, and He’s making sure that everything is working for your good. Can I get an amen?
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
