Welcome to a new week. May you enjoy crowning blessings in this last week of August, in Jesus name.
In the 1nebody book club community, our theme for August has been #HearingByFaith, from Romans 10:17 (NJKV).
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Faith isn’t a one-off adventure, it’s built by hearing and hearing. That means, it requires you to consistently expose yourself to the word of God. Not a little bit of the word of God mixed with something else.
Brother Kenneth & Sister Gloria Copeland often speak about how they saturate their space with the word of God. Not because they have to minister to others, but because they’ve chosen to live by faith and they understand that it requires them to continually hear the word of God. So daily, they listen to Kenneth Hagin’s messages.
In a similar testimony by Bishop David Oyedepo, the President and Founder of Living Faith Church worldwide, he speaks about how he studies and meditates on God’s word daily. He doesn’t observe his study time without his pen and notepad because he expects to hear from God while studying.
As a believer, if you want to consistently live a victorious life, it demands repeatedly hearing the word of God. Whether that’s reading or listening to the Bible, meditating, listening to sermons, attending church services, and so on.
Have you made Jesus the Lord of your life? Hearing from Him begins with making Him the Lord of your life. If you’d like to surrender your life to Jesus, please say this prayer:
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me; help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
