Hello Amazing Reader,
Happy almost-end-of October 🥳🥳. Glory to God for His mercies over us!
I recently saw videos from the 60th birthday celebration of the co-pastor at the Highflyers’ Christian Centre, Pst (Mrs) Dele Bamgboye, where she sang some of her songs from the 90s.
“Oga Jesus” and other songs from her Inspiration album, released in 1993 were major hits in Nigeria’s gospel music space in the 1990s.
Not only was it beautiful to watch her sing the same songs more than 30 years later, but the songs were just as powerful. The messages remain intact and haven’t eroded with the passage of time.
Watching her render these songs reminded me of the timeless nature of God’s Word. In whatever format it is presented in— whether sermons, songs, books, or movies, God’s Word lasts forever. Hallelujah!
Please visit Pst Dele Bamgboye’s YouTube channel to relive the memories of these songs, or listen to them for the first time.
What a privilege to be used of God to birth creations that bless generations!
From everyone in the 1nebody community, happy 60th birthday ma. God bless and keep you, in Jesus name.
