Hello Amazing Reader,
It’s mid-October already ππ₯³, glory to God for His mercies!
Our meditation for the week focused on thanksgiving, and weβre continuing that subject in this review post.
In the last 1nebody book club session, we reviewed, The Corridor, a Nigerian Christian movie.
The major character, Life Ajayi, was a young lady who appeared to have everything working for her. She had a good job, earned a good pay, and lived in her own apartment. However, she was unmarried, and this was a concern to her and her dad.
She always had something she has asking God for. It was usually one prayer request after another, without any thanksgiving or praise to God.
Her perspective on thanksgiving and gratitude changed when she received an emergency call about her dadβs health. While waiting in the hospital corridor, she observed several scenarios: the couple hoping for a positive pregnancy result, the young girl with an unwanted pregnancy, the young man who had just lost his father, a cleaner who had learned to appreciate God despite her situation, and so many more.
Through this corridor experience, she learned the importance of praising God in every circumstance and reordering her priorities. She finally realized that work could wait, and being available for your loved ones should be a priority.
Thankfully, her dad survived the she had the privilege of being with him while he recovered.
We enjoyed watching and reviewing this movie in the book club community, and Β I strongly recommend it. You’re a likely to shed a tear or two, but most importantly, you’d be reminded on the need to be consistently grateful to God.
The Corridor was produced by Moromoluwatiketike Abolaji in September 2026.
God bless you and your team, Moromoluwatiketike!
