Hello 1nebody,
I hope everyone is doing well. As we approach the end of another month, I want to take this time to thank God for His mercies throughout the month of May. God be praised!
A few Sundays ago, the pastor of my church talked about unveiling and fulfilling your prophetic destiny. He said something that I’ve been pondering ever since. He talked about hanging destinies and gave a few examples, which I will explain.
From numerous Bible accounts, he discussed how there are individuals, such as Abraham or Joseph, who were given specific dreams and visions by God. God chose them to fulfil certain destinies. However, conversely, there are hanging destinies—those not assigned to anyone, where God utilises available vessels. The tricky part is that a destiny can be good or bad, just as a vessel can be employed for honour or dishonour.
The first example the pastor provided was Judas. Throughout the gospel accounts, it was never indicated that Judas was destined to betray Jesus. This serves as a prime example of a hanging destiny. The prophecy regarding the betrayal and crucifixion of Jesus was to be realised by anyone in alignment.
“because he was teaching his disciples. He said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill him, and after three days he will rise.” Mark 9:31 NIV
“While they were reclining at the table eating, he said, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me—one who is eating with me.” Mark 14:18 NIV
The second example was Mary. It wasn’t her destiny to give birth to Jesus. The Bible says in Isaiah 7:14 NIV, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” God wanted to do something on the earth, and Mary led a life that made her the right vessel for it.
A third example was the widow who fed Elijah. God told Elijah a widow would feed him, but there was no name or description given (1 Kings 17:9). The widow who God used was the one who was aligned with God’s plans and was sensitive to the Spirit and season.
My prayer to anyone reading this is that God will show you what He is doing and how you can be used for His glory in the things He is manifesting on the earth in this season. This has been my prayer lately.
“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,” Colossians 1:9-10 NIV
I urge anyone reading this who is yet to make Jesus the Lord and Saviour of their lives to surrender today. The prayer we said just now is irrelevant without a commitment and devotion to God. You need to confess your sins and come under His cover. Please, say this prayer below out loud:
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned, please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus name. Amen.
Congratulations, heaven rejoices over you! If you said this prayer and would like additional information/guidance, please send an email to 1nebodyblog@gmail.com.
God bless,
Dasola
