Hello 1nebody,
The 1nebody blog turned eight this month. Wow! Eight good years of God’s leading and faithfulness. Happy anniversary, 1nebody!
I was not sure what to write about today. However, as I was asking the Holy Spirit and reviewing my notes to see if there was anything the Holy Spirit would like me to write about, I saw Dami’s message on our book club WhatsApp group chat about our Thanksgiving session this Saturday.
This year has had more lows than highs for me, and the devil wanted to play on that. My initial reaction to Dami’s message was that I didn’t really have a lot to be thankful for. But as you can already tell, that is a lie from the pit of hell. I have so much to be thankful for.
I am following Apostle Iren’s 100 Days of Discipleship, and in one of the days, he addressed the old argument about medication vs faith. Listening to him, I realised we ought to be thankful to God for the medicines and the scientists behind the medicines. Think about it, a lot of the components of these medications come from natural resources, which is why herbal therapy is a thing. Who created the natural resources? That’s right, God did.
“Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.” Genesis 1:11
“And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head.” Mark 4:26-28
Similarly, the scientists who know how to test and extract the healing power from a plant to put in the form of a drug can do that because God gave them the intelligence. So, you see that you ought to thank God for the innovators of this world.
The point I am making is that there is so much we have overlooked, but they form part of our testimonies. If we take a step back, we will see God written all over everything. That song that says, ‘Count your blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.’ Indeed, you will be amazed when you carefully recount even the simple things.
If you are reading this and you don’t know the one who everything visible and invisible but desire a relationship with him. You would like to know this God. Please repeat the prayer below.
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Congratulations, heaven rejoices over you! If you said this prayer and would like additional information/guidance, please send an email to 1nebodyblog@gmail.com.
God bless,
Dasola
