Hello Amazing Reader,
How are you today? Did you have a restful weekend?
We’re in the last few days of September, isn’t God faithful! May we continually testify of His mercies and abiding love as we move into the final quarter of 2026, in Jesus name.
In our last meditation, we learnt about the privilege of prayer. Today, we’re continuing the same subject of prayer. I’d like you to think about the following questions as we proceed:
- Why do you pray?
- What kind of prayer does God answer?
Let’s explore possible answers:
- Prayer is a proof of dependence on God, Philippians 4:6
- God answers prayers offered in faith, Mark 9:23
I recently heard a quote from one of my pastors, which is originally from the Christian movie, The Forge. It states,
Prayer is powerful, not because our prayers are powerful, but because the God who hears our prayers is powerful.
Isn’t that phenomenal? Prayer in itself wouldn’t be anything, but because we are praying to the Omniscient and all-powerful God, He makes our prayers appear powerful. This is why we must be quick to acknowledge God when we experience answered prayers.
Maybe someone asks you to pray for them about something and it becomes a testimony, it was God who made it happen, not you. Were you a vessel? Absolutely yes. But did you answer the prayer? No!
God is interested in your prayers. He also wants to demonstrate His power in your life. So, don’t wait for the perfect moment, pray to Him right now. There’s no topic off the table as well, He’s interested in every aspect of your life.
Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV).
Have you become a member of God’s family? You’d be missing out on the privilege of prayer if you haven’t received Jesus into your life.
If you’d like to do so, please say this prayer with faith in your heart:
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus name. Amen.
Congratulations, you are now a member of God’s big family! If you said this prayer and would like additional information/guidance, please send an email to 1nebodyblog@gmail.com.
Don’t forget to engage with God in prayer this week. He’s waiting to hear you!
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
