Hello Amazing Reader,
Happy Monday. I hope you had a great weekend. Did you make it to church over the weekend?
At church yesterday, while we sang the hymn, What a Friend we have in Jesus, a line struck differently,
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer
I’ve known this hymn for so long but singing it yesterday felt different because of this line. It seemed like I heard that line for the first time, and I thought, “wow, what a privilege, indeed.”
As a child of God, you can take everything to God in prayer; that is, all things excluding nothing. You don’t have to reserve your prayers for the “big” things only because God is interested in every aspect of your life.
Also, you don’t have to lose your peace concerning any situation, because you can take it to God in prayer. The enemy wants our default response to be worry, anxiety, pain, and so on, but it doesn’t have to be that way. We have a God who’s waiting for us to invite Him in.
Have you become a member of God’s family? You’d be missing out on the privilege of access to God if you haven’t received Jesus into your life.
If you’d like to do so, please say this prayer with faith in your heart:
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus name. Amen.
