Our meditation scripture for this week is:
“…Do not fret—it only causes harm, (Psalm 37:8b).
Let me share a quick story. I recently got two plants in little pots and I did the usual things-watered them, exposed them to sunlight, and hoped they’d grow. For a while, it looked like they were not growing, but I was wrong. They were growing, I just couldn’t see it. In fact, they’ve grown so well that I’ve had to re-pot them in bigger pots.
Before their growth became evident to me, they were growing. The fact that I couldn’t notice it, didn’t mean growth wasn’t happening. And that’s one of the lessons for me- that we can’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not happening.
When we pray and expect God’s intervention in an area of life, if we don’t see anything obvious after some time, the devil tries to make us think nothing is happening.
Best believe that if your expectation is godly and in line with God’s will for your life in that season, He will bring it to pass. Perhaps you’ve been waiting for a miracle since the year began or even longer, and because it’s yet to manifest, you are beginning to think that nothing is happening.
Please, don’t believe that lie. God is working and in due time, it will be evident for all to see.
Salvation is the first step of faith. Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? If you’d like to do so, please say this prayer with faith:
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus name. Amen.
