Hello Amazing Reader,
How’s your week coming along? Trust you’ve been enjoying the blessings of the new month.
Last weekend, the 1nebody Book Club community reviewed one of the episodes of the Seasons Podcast, The Importance of Fellowship, and I received new insights from our conversation.
Although we have reviewed this episode previously, we’ll do another review today🙂 . See it as a refresher if you’ve read it before, and if it’s all new to you, that’s wonderful!
Our guest on this episode, Joshua Makanjuola speaks about the importance of church fellowship. One of the scriptures he references is Hebrews 12:22-24 (NKJV).
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.
From this scripture, Joshua emphasizes that the heavenly host which are present in a church or the gathering of believers may not be there when you choose to fellowship by yourself.
Joshua also adds that the benefits of fellowship are more spiritual than physical. That is, you may not experience any physical changes or have any physical gifts to show, but spiritual deposits are made into our lives during fellowship.
So much happens in the Spirit when we gather, we have to mature more into leaning into our spiritual experiences than physical.

If you’ve been attending church without knowing the importance of doing so, please listen to this episode.
On the other hand, if you’ve not attended church in a while, please listen in with an open heart and trust God to lead you to a church family that He has prepared for you.
In summary, whichever side you’re on, I hope you never treat fellowship as a casual event anymore because a whole lot happens in church (Mount Zion).
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
