Hello amazing reader,

Many thanks again for stopping by. It really does mean a lot and we appreciate you!

We are gleaning from Hebrews 13:5-6 today. It says, ‘Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have:for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.’

Economics teaches that human wants are insatiable. This statement is no longer mere theory that has been passed down to us because we see it play out almost on a daily basis.

In a bid to strive for greater goals, we face challenges, often times greater than what we anticipate. Then, from a state of absolute reliance on God (which by the way, doesn’t mean a state of irresponsibility); we begin to consciously or unconsciously seek alternatives and console ourselves with statements like, ‘heaven helps those who help themselves’

Truth is, heaven doesn’t help those who help themselves, rather, heaven helps those who unashamedly request to be helped and have no alternatives. Remember that God is also Jehovah El-Jealous (the jealous God); He totally hates it when you or anyone else attempts to share in His glory.  If you’ve been exploring alternatives before now, there’s room for repentance; go ahead and do so.

He already promises never to leave you nor forsake you. He delights in you boldly declaring Him as your helper, without fear of offending men who may want to make themselves seem like demigods in your life.

It takes God’s help (grace) to be absolutely reliant on Him; ask for that grace today!

God’s blessings always,
Dammy
