Hello Amazing One,

Happy new week. Trust you had a great weekend like we did? It was a book club weekend, and our sessions are always phenomenal. We enjoy the palpable presence of God and share insights from the resources we’ve read or watched. You’re more than welcome to join our next meeting.

Please come along as we get on today’s meditation.

Have you found yourself in a situation where you said something to someone and as the words left your mouth, you realized it should have been better expressed? It may have been the tone or the delivery, but at that point it’s late and you’re left wondering how you could salvage the situation.

For someone else, you may find yourself constantly telling lies. Most times, you’ve told a lie before you realize. It’s almost become your default language.

As children of God, God expects us to excel in our speech as well as other areas of life. There are several scriptures that guide us on using the tongue in honour of God. One of these is Psalm 141:3,

Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.”

King james version

Thankfully, we can engage the word of God proactively. We don’t have to get trapped in uncomfortable situations before we cry out to God. We can pray this scripture as often as possible, such that we achieve excellence in speech and in all other areas.

Enjoy the crowning blessings of the outgoing month in Jesus name.

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
