Hello Amazing Reader,

Trust your week has been awesome.

On our review slate today is a song I loveeeeee.

Let me tell you about it.

About five years ago, my friend and I attended a worship session in Abuja, Nigeria. Among the ministers was Pastor Chingtok Ishaku. I was quite familiar with the other ministers, but he was new to me.

Then I heard him sing Forever God. It was deep. So deep. I had recorded it on my phone and kept listening to it for as long as I had that device. When I no longer did, I tried to search for the song but it was unsuccessful because I didn’t know the title of the song.

Can you imagine the joy I felt when I ‘stumbled’ on this song earlier this week. I believe the Holy Spirit led me to it.

Here are the lyrics of the first verse:

Father

Oh what a love You have lavished

On me a mortal to be called yours

To share Your image divine

What an honor

To be ordained and anointed

To be Your man and Your scepter

Dancing the rhythm of Your heart

Can you read it repeatedly until the knowledge settles in your heart?

Forever God is a reminder that being a child of God is a remarkable honour. The King of Kings, Creator of the heavens and earth calls you His own. Not just that, He loves you deeply.

Aren’t you special? If you ever lose sight of your identity as a child of the Almighty God, this song is a beautiful reminder of who you are. Like Pst Chingtok said in this ministration, “If God has chosen you, the song cannot leave you.”

The second verse is a prayer that every fibre of our beings will give God the worship He deserves. Can I get an ‘Amen’ ?

This rendition of Forever God is by the song writer, Raymond Ediga, Pastor Chingtok Ishaku, and Blessing Madueke.

You’re welcome to have it on repeat, also like, comment, and share with others.

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
