Hello 1nebody,

Welcome to the last week in August. Has God not been faithful? And, he remains faithful. Through it all, we thank you, Lord, for never forsaking us. Glory and adoration to Your Holy name. Amen!

I am not one to talk about what God has done for me and my family, mostly because I don’t want to appear boastful, or I think people have their priorities and hearing my testimony is probably not one of them. However, it shouldn’t matter, should it? After all, the psalmist said in Psalm 107:2 KJV “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” Whether or not I think people want to hear my testimony or not, that shouldn’t stop me from returning all glory to my Heavenly Father. Testifying is one of the best ways to show our gratitude to God.

I remember sharing with a friend how God came through for me concerning my stay in the UK and how God gave me peace even when it didn’t look like it would turn out well. I shared that testimony because I was in awe of what God had done and I couldn’t keep it to myself. However, little did I know that my testimony would go on to bless and encourage my friend’s brother in a similar situation. Neither did I ever think that my testimony that encouraged him to get his testimony would continue to be a reminder and an encouragement for me. The Shunammite woman’s land was restored because of the testimony of her dead son who was brought back to life.

“The king was talking to Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, and had said, “Tell me about all the great things Elisha has done.” Just as Gehazi was telling the king how Elisha had restored the dead to life, the woman whose son Elisha had brought back to life came to appeal to the king for her house and land. Gehazi said, “This is the woman, my lord the king, and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life.” The king asked the woman about it, and she told him. Then he assigned an official to her case and said to him, “Give back everything that belonged to her, including all the income from her land from the day she left the country until now.” 2 Kings 8: 4-6 NIV

Her testimony was what God used to favour her in front of the king. Her testimony must have blessed the king and it did bless her in return, causing a full restoration. The Bible says in Psalm 105:15 “touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” Testifying of God’s graciousness upon your life shows others that you are God’s anointed and it brings about an order of favour in your life. When Jesus healed the 10 lepers in Luke 17 and only one of them went back to give thanks, he got his full healing because of this. This act showed his gratitude and faith in Jesus “Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” Verse 15 KJV.

So, I ask you, what are you thankful for today? What has God done for you that you can’t keep to yourself? Remember, it doesn’t matter if anybody wants to hear your testimony or not, it is an act of gratitude and faith to God and you’d be blessing others and yourself in return just by sharing. Share your testimonies in the comment section.

God bless,

Dasola
