Hello 1nebody,

I am thanking God for you and yours, for his faithful to you thus far! We are 1 month away from the start of another year; it can only be God. I bless the name of the Lord for your life and those that surround you. He alone deserves the praise!

Why do we doubt or fear what our human brain/mind cannot fathom? Sometimes, when God moves on our behalf and in the situation we have prayed for, His move is so powerful that it scares us. In John 6:19, the NIV says “When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were frightened.”

The first point to note here is that they say Jesus, they knew it was Jesus, yet they were frightened. The Bible did not say they saw a mysterious figure, it was Jesus but they couldn’t make sense of what they were seeing. It was terrifying to them, that Jesus would come to them in the storm without a boat, how?! I would be scared too in that scenario.

Then in verses 20-21, the NIV says “But he said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.” Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.” The second point here is that the disciples were only willing to let Jesus on the boat after He assured them it was Him and the Bible says as they did this, immediately, they reached their destination. Perhaps if they had been too afraid to let Jesus on that boat, they would have stayed longer in that storm too afraid to even look up and speak to Jesus and Jesus standing out there reassuring them again and again. Jesus says in Mark 11:23 that whoever will SAY to this mountain…, it will be done. There is a part you have to play in the move of God.

We see the move of God in our situation and sometimes we are afraid cause it is impossible, unheard of, too good to be true etc, that we find it hard to accept and receive our miracle. I don’t know what move of God you are experiencing in the last days of 2024 but don’t be afraid, accept the goodness of God. Don’t be afraid of the power of God, don’t shut your eyes to it, He is there to calm the storm. Perhaps you have not surrendered your life to Christ, the truth is, the mere fact that you are alive today and can read this message, means you are already experiencing the move of God without acknowledging it. So, I invite you to say the prayer below:

Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal saviour. I confess that I have sinned, please forgive me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus name.
