Hello Amazing Reader,
Welcome to the last week of July 2025. May these remaining days of the month be days of supernatural encounters for you, in Jesus name.
Our meditation scripture for this week is Jeremiah 17:10.
“I, the Lord, search and examine the mind, I test the heart, To give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds.”
Jer 17:10 (AMP)
Recently, I was reading the book of Numbers and I noticed how the Israelites repeatedly disobeyed God. This was despite the various miracles and interventions which God had wrought for them. They would offend God, and He would get angry with them. Sometimes it took Moses’ intervention to intercede for them, but God mostly forgave them. A few times he reprimanded them, but He couldn’t stop loving them.
Moses, on the other hand, missed it once. In Numbers 20, he was to speak to the rock as God instructed, but instead he smote it twice. This made God angry, and he told Moses he would not enter the Promised Land.
“But, God. It was just this one time.” That was my thought when I read this chapter. Why didn’t God forgive Moses like He forgave the Israelites repeatedly? Well, He is unquestionable—He chooses how He wants to operate, and we cannot question Him.
This takes us back to our core scripture, Jer 17:10. God deals with us on a personal basis. Which is why it is important not to benchmark our walk with Him against others. Not our mentors, parents, pastors, or anyone at all. The Israelites disobeyed God many times, and still entered the Promised Land. Moses erred once, and that was it for him. He couldn’t enter the Promised Land.
Perhaps, God has been prompting you to surrender your life to Him, but you haven’t responded because you’re waiting for certain persons to respond first, then you’d follow. Or He’s been asking you to desist from something, but you’re still doing it because everyone around you is doing it.
I hope this serves as a reminder that your walk with God is extremely personal.
If you haven’t given your life to Christ, this is another opportunity for you to do so. Please say this prayer meaningfully:
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Congratulations, you are now born again! If you said this prayer and would like additional information/guidance, please send an email to 1nebodyblog@gmail.com.
Have a blessed week!
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
