Happy New Year, Amazing Reader 💃💃.
Thank God for bringing us into a wonderful new year. May we bask in His presence, yield to His leading, and enjoy His favour throughout the year and beyond, in Jesus name.
Are you still in the planning phase for the year, or have you got it all documented? I’m not referring to new year resolutions, but meaningful and godly goals that you should be setting for yourself, family, organization, and so on.
God himself is a planner. In Genesis 1, we see how God carefully planned out the creation process. He created light first because everything else would depend on it. On and on He continued creating all that man would need (the sky, dry land, vegetation, sun &moon, sea creatures, land animals) before He made man.
Likewise, you can carefully plan the year as well. I came across a goal setting planner curated by the Daystar Christian Centre, and I highly recommend it. It helps you to plan across six major areas: Spiritual, Family/Social, Financial, Health, Academic/Professional, and Career/Vocation. You’re not just writing the goals you want to achieve, but identifying the steps that’ll get you there within the expected time frame.
While this is great and very much recommended, you’ll be missing out on the most important step if you don’t commit these plans to God. That’s what brings a blessing to your plans. Doing this also permits God to alter your plans for His. While we plan with limited knowledge, the Unlimited and All-Knowing God can switch our good plans, for His God plans because He knows what we don’t.
Commit your works to the Lord,
Proverbs 16:3 (nkjv)
And your thoughts will be established.
If you haven’t accepted Jesus into your life as your Lord and Personal Saviour, what are you waiting for? Why not choose to do things differently this year by living for God?
Please say this prayer with faith:
Dear Jesus, I accept you today as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess that I have sinned; please forgive me. I believe that you died and rose again for me. By your blood, cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you for the new life you have given me, help me to serve you all the days of my life. Ultimately, please help me make it to eternity with you, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Congratulations, heaven rejoices over you! If you said this prayer and would like additional information/guidance, please send an email to 1nebodyblog@gmail.com.
Have a blessed and testimony-filled New Year, in Jesus name.
God’s blessings always,
Dammy
