Many thanks for stopping by. Hebrews 1:14 is our scriptural meditation for this week. It says, “are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” Have you inherited salvation? Or put in another way, have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and personal savior? (If you have, that’s great. If you haven’t, you have an opportunity to do so today).

From the above scripture, it can be deduced that those who have or who will inherit salvation have angels who are to minister to their needs. These ones have been assigned by God to minister to your needs but you have a duty to engage their services.

The Bible has various accounts of angelic interventions in the old and new testaments. Angels visited Abraham in the form of human guests and his hospitality towards them resulted in the birth of Isaac (Genesis 18).  Similarly, the births of Samson, John the Baptist and even Jesus (Judges 13, Luke 1, Luke 2) were announced by angels.

Apart from bearing the news of conceptions and deliveries, they are also for your deliverance and protection. Psalm 91:11 says, ‘For he will give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways, They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.’

Angels have several other functions, but let’s stick with these for the purpose of this post. It is also important to state that angels may not appear to us in white garments and wings, like many have imagined them to be. Remember that the angels that visited Abraham were full bodied humans like you and I; so, yes they can appear to you in human form as well.

In the past few weeks, I have heard some strange testimonies of angelic interventions. This is to say, angels are still very much at work. Some are of the opinion that angels were only available in Bible times. Well, I’ve got good news for you. They are still available today. You can assign and deploy them to anywhere and everywhere, even as far as the ends of the earth. They can get the most difficult tasks accomplished. In fact, concerning your promised land; you can send your angels ahead to get rid of all the barriers  that might have been planted on your path; it is part of their duties to get you there in tact (Exodus 23)
