Psalm 46:5 (King James Version) says ‘God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early’

Isn’t it so reassuring to know that God knows exactly when to show up. He may not show up at your time and you may think ‘oh if only He had shown up earlier, the situation wouldn’t have deteriorated.’ Let’s examine the story of Lazarus as a case in point. In John 11:3, Mary and Martha (sisters of Lazarus) had sent a word to Jesus informing him that his friend Lazarus was ill. In verse 4, Jesus sent word back to them saying it was not unto death but for the glory of God.

Two days later, Lazarus died yet Jesus did not show up. Four days after he had been dead and buried, Jesus finally showed up. Martha could not bottle up her emotions, she said to him, ‘Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.’ In other words, ‘thanks for coming alright but right now I think you are really late, his corpse is stinking already.’

Haha…only if they knew.

Mary and Martha had a perceived time frame in which they had expected a miracle to happen but that time was passed. To the best of their knowledge, their brother was dead and gone.

However, when Jesus knew the time was right, he got to the tomb of Lazarus and commanded him to ‘come forth.’

You see, it doesn’t matter how dead and gone you assume your situation is, you will not be toppled over. If God could raise Lazarus from the grave, He can also turn your situation(s) around. Disregard your perceived time frame, God already promised to help you; not just that, but right early too.

Relax, He does know how to show up and show-off.
