Thank God for bringing us into a brand new month; a month of joy, peace, blessings, favour, good report…it’s also the last month of the first half of the year. All that God has ordained for us in this season will come rushing at us in Jesus name.


Today, we’re committing the new month into God’s hands. It was David’s practice to commit his times unto the Lord, no wonder he stayed winning and never lost any battle. The Passion Translation captures Psalm 31:15 thus, “ My life, my every moment, my destiny—it’s all in your hands. So I know you can deliver me from those who persecute me relentlessly.”


One of my pastors taught me this secret a while back. At the start of every new month, new week, new year and new day, he would lead us in prayers, asking that we commit every moment of the new day into God’s hands following the example of David. If I didn’t experience the wonders of this prayer, there would be little or no chance that I would share this with you. But, I can boldly testify that it works.


Nothing given to God is ever misappropriated. By offering this prayer, God helps you to make productive use of your time, and keeps you safe from evil. It’s an all-encompassing request. Jesus told the Father in John 17:9, “…Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none…” Corroborating that nothing given to God ever gets lost.

Dear God, thank you for bringing me into this new month. I appreciate you for keeping and protecting me in spite of the evil in the land. This new month, I commit all the days, hours, minutes, seconds and micro seconds into your able hands. I trust you to keep and preserve me and all that you have given me. Thank you for a productive and fruitful month in every regard in Jesus name, Amen.


The month of June will surely deliver abundance to you in Jesus name. Happy New June.
