At the book club last weekend, we completed our second read since August đ The excitement for us isnât just ticking off these books, but the life lessons weâve gleaned from the authors. First, Myles Munroe and then Kenneth Hagin.
Right & Wrong thinking addresses the fundamentals of our faith in God as believers. The author addresses the subject in three distinct areas- Right & Wrong Thinking; Right & Wrong Believing and Right & Wrong Confessing.
He points out that it all begins with your thoughts, because you canât believe beyond your level of knowledge of the word of God. Your knowledge of any subject informs your actions. Similarly, being rooted in the word of God aligns your thought process to match-up with the word of God. Also, he admonishes the reader to have a dive into the epistles (Romans, 1st & 2nd Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians,1st and 2nd Thessalonians, 1st & 2nd Timothy, Titus and Philemon) in order to discover your true identity in Christ.
Right & Wrong thinking feeds into Right & Wrong believing. In his words, âBelieving is the only way we can receive from God.â God needs us to believe Him in truth and in deed before He can deliver our desires to us. More so, God wonât do more for you, until you act on what you already know.
Lastly, right & wrong confessing stems from your belief. It is what you believe that you confess. The level of our faith is largely dependent on what we confess. However, this confession doesnât mean you do nothing, while expecting God to do it all. It requires you to take action on Godâs word.
These are but a few lessons we picked from this read; we had an amazing time sharing and learning from one another. Weâre eager to have you join us for our next meet on Saturday 14th November by 7pm (WAT). Please send us a mail to receive the sign in details. Looking forward to having you.
Thereâs no way weâre ending this without letting you in on where to get yourself a copy. The book and CD versions are available here.
