We hope everyone is having a great week. We are glad to see you here again this week. Apologies for the late post, we hope you will be blessed by today’s review.

Did you know that there are opportunities in every day for you? It does not matter if you are having a good or bad day, if only you will be open to them. This is the realisation that this message by Pastor Poju Oyemade, Senior Pastor of The Covenant Nation church. The preacher unsubscribes to the philosophy of having a 5 to 10 year plan because it limits the generosity and wonder working power of God in our lives. Not that he is advocating for not making any plans at all, rather, he encourages us to be open-minded even with our plans because God can create an alternative opportunity anytime which becomes inconvenient or unreachable in a strict and closed off 5-/10-year plan environment.

The preacher stresses on the importance of the mind. How powerful do think your think the mind is? He made it clear that the greatest obstacle to anyone’s success is not their environment or the the situations they find themselves but, in fact, their mind. Pastor Poju described the mind in terms of the habits you make and the believe system you have (Rom 8:5-6). In essence, the mind, if used right, is a powerful tool that can be transformed by the Holy Spirit to accomplish great things (Rom 12:2).

One of the scriptures he used that perfectly paints the picture of recognizing opportunities for me is in Gen 12:1 when God suddenly said to Abraham to leave his country to go to a place he would show him. Imagine if Abraham had already made a 10-year plan and his mind was closed off to the endless possibilities that God could provide, how do you think his story would have ended? We want you genuinely think about that and pray for the Holy Spirit to renew your mind to become even more aware of the hand of God all around you.
