Hello Amazing Reader,

Welcome to a beautiful new week. It’s the last week of September, we trust God with you for the manifestation of your desire(s) which are in accordance with His will in Jesus name.

What’s your typical response when things don’t go as planned? Do you find yourself cursing and using swear words?

What kind of words come out of you during an emergency? Do you immediately retract them or are they fit for purpose?

When a neighbor (friend, colleague, family member) consistently excels in their endeavors, do you genuinely celebrate them or you are quick to belief there’s something fishy which they are not mentioning?

How about your kids? When they act unruly or naughty? Do you use condescending and negative words on them?

Our reactions and outbursts to situations are directly proportional to what we have stored up in our hearts. Just like you can’t use a debit card to access funds that you don’t have, you cannot withdraw good virtues from a heart which lacks it.

Proverbs 4:23 states, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (New International Version)

I recently heard someone at church share from this scripture and he stated that no one guards an empty room. He further stated that when one guards a place or thing, it must mean the items are valuable or the room contains valuable items. How profound!

God expects our hearts to contain treasured content, which is why He instructs us to guard it. It is our responsibility to watch what goes in because it determines what comes out of you. When your heart overflows with the word of God, situations may attempt to shake you, but the word that is within you triumphs.

Shall we pray? Dear Father, thank you for the blessings of the new week. We pray that by your Holy Spirit, you help us to guard our hearts in Jesus name. Amen.

God’s blessings always,

Dammy
